Laser Eye Surgery
The present era is totally dominated by computers; the standard of works in the field of medicine, business, education and each every aspect human activities is enhancing rapidly with computers. LASER eye surgery is successfully used in curing near-sighted, far-sighted as well as astigmatism that is defect of vision of inability to see the far objects clearly.
These defects are associated with the image formation on retina depending upon different factors like shape of cornea, eyeball length, and the lens. In LASER eye surgery uses an instrument term Excimer Laser is used that is responsible changing the shape of the defected cornea permanently. The mechanism of action of the LASER eye surgery is that the laser used generates a ray of ultraviolet radiation which makes vaporization of the defective layers of the eye without causing any hard to the adjoining tissue fibers. The Photo-Refractive Keratectomy (PRK) and Laser Assisted in situ Keratomileusis (LASIK) are two versions of the LASER eye surgery which are employed in the world with great success.
